So ironic that we can’t go anywhere with anyone right now for fear of contracting COVID-19, but we got a spectacular spring this year. I took a walk in the woods today. This is what I found within a half hour.

Top to bottom, left to right: azaleas, bugleherb, dandelion, Virginia bluebells, flowering bush, wood fungi, lovage, ostrich ferns, magnolia, wood poppy, ragwort, violet, redbud.

I was trying to get a decent shot of the pink moon without hauling out DSLR and tripod. Lazy. I’ve been photographically lazy all year so far. Need to do something about that.

Another beautiful end to a beautiful summer at Emerald Isle, North Carolina. My family took time out from the beach to visit the Pine Knolls Shore Aquarium this year, something we hadn’t done in a long while. It’s become a really a nice place!
